Eddie Dennison, I have been recomended to this man for a long range Catahoula. He has been recomended several times by different people that wouldn't get anything out of it if I bought a dog from the man. Can anyone tell me about him and his line of dogs. I have been told he doesn't guaruntee his dogs but will let you hunt them in a pen. His dogs are very pricey and I am willing to take the chance if I can find out some info. on the man and his dogs. Has anyone had any dealings with Mr. Dennison or his dogs? Dave

Dave, Is he in Ga.? I know most all certified breeders of Catahoulas and I don't know him. I could give you some names of breeders in GA and you could ask them. I raise catahoulas and now use them just for hog hunting in the woods, do have some working cows but I only hunt in the woods, and that's where I show my dogs, not in a pen.

Yes, he lives in Screven, Ga. He askes alot for his dogs but they are woods dogs only. He has registered and nonregistered dogs. I was trying to get some information on their bloodlines and working ability. He doesn't guarentee his dogs but will let you hunt them in a 400 acre pen as many times as you want before you buy. It just makes me nervous when somone wont gaurentee what they've got! Dave

I enjoyed our visit with Mr. Dennison Saturday. Those dogs seem to be everything they are made out to be. He has a line of reg. catahoulas as well as some plott dogs and some non-reg catahoulas some with plott in them, some with mt. cur, and even a few with bluetick in them. It would be nice to have a 400 acre pen to start dogs in the way he does. I think the dog dirt brought home is going to make him a good. It is rare to see catahoulas with tremendous noses and tremendous range like some of those dogs have. I think the best part was talking dogs with him though. He tells it like it is and culls harder than anyone I've ever met.
