I couldnt motivate myself for a morning hunt .... so I headed out this afternoon. I got in my blind at 3pm and at 4:27 a doe and yearling came to the feeder. behind my stand is another pasture and the cows there were grazing in the creekbottom out of sight to the deer. It was really spooking them to hear all the movement and not see what was causing it. Another doe came out later but never went to the feeder. I will give it a couple of days and go again ..maybe Monday morning. Under the oak tree is my feeder. To the Left. To the right .... behind the mesquite treesin the upper left corner is a pond.

The only climbing I did was through the fence and up the ladder! I parked a couple hundred yards behind and to the left from my blind ... the deer usually come from in front and to the far left of me.

What size is your scope EJ, looks like quite a big lens, should be good in poor light conditions.

Its between a 40mm an 50 mm. Its a Simmons Aetec. I think it might be 40something. I can still see well enough to take a shot when I can hardly make out the deer with the naked eye. I have 50mm objective on my .22 hornet. With all the ruckuss the coyotes were making while I was in the blind I might try calling them one of these days.
