So EJ and others that are in the victoria area......whats the word down there. From what I have seen and heard they havent been running (you know what I mean....they usually start in early to mid october). But I am guessing this cool snap and full moon kicked them into gear.

In Dewitt co they have been running does (not sure if it was full blown) for a few weeks. In Goliad co. the bucks have swollen necks and are running does. Over an out.

Hey Ron what's going on? Since I'm a deer hunting god let me fill you in......them deer ain't in full rut yet. LOL!
Na I'm just messing with ya...in Oklahoma the bucks are hanging around with the doe but they haven't lost their heads yet, their still aware of what's going on around them. We got 3 more weeks until our 14 day gun season this year and I'm hoping it freezes before then....d**n deer won't come out of the acorn trees unless it freezes and truns them sour.
KO
Email me: Koneal@interconfinancial.com I'm coming down to the OU A&M game this weekend, maybe we can slurp a few down before the game.

Well most of the time the first rut is almost over in Goliad, where I hunt buy the time hunting season rolls around. I was in the area a few weeks ago and didnt notice anything going crazy over the does. But hopefully this weekend will tell a different story. If nothing else the hogs have been slamming the feeders so I may at least get to shoot something.
I am not in College Station any more and may not even watch the game after the 77 point thrashing last year and the sad display by that Ags last weekend. I just wish ya'll would quit stealing the Texas boys......like say Peterson. With this being opening weekend I will have to pass, but we do need to get together for a hunt soon.
Maybe I can come up and watch it snow again!! LOL
